PG Stage recently carried out some improvements to the stage lighting at Bury Met Theatre. The brief was to replace the lighting grid over the stage and add some new lighting barrels to the front of house area.
The existing support structure is replaced with bespoke manufactured internally wired lighting barrels along with plain alloy tubes to form a rigid grid. A total of 110 lighting circuits along with a DMX network have been wired back to the control area where two Phillips wallrack and a special Wieland patch bay are fitted. This set up will allow all socket outlets to be either dimmed for production lighting or non-dimmed to support house lighting, moving heads and the like.
Following the support grid installation PG Stage re installed the theatres other equipment including tracks and drapes and masking legs to their original position ensuring the theatre could carry on as previous.
The installation was carried out in such a way as to accommodate the theatres summer programme with two fortnight blocks at each end of the season with as little interruption to the day to day working of the venue as much as possible.

PG Stage supplied some new Bolton twill curtains to The Old Vic theatre in London for their production of The Playboy of The Western World by JM Synge.
The drapes were delivered within three working days as asked for by the theatre.

PG Stage installed comprehensive performance facilities in to the Bold Theatre at Loreto Sixth Form College comprising a wired lighting grid, Strand lighting dimmers and control console and fixtures from the Selecon Acclaim range.
We also installed tracks and drapes to the front of the space and a comprehensive sound system including microphone tie line infrastructure.
A number of portable staging units were supplied allowing the college to alter the shape and size of the stage to suit each performance.
